What a Girl!
With an impressive perfect score of 4/0 Alexandra Krutel took home the Monte Joffee Trophy of the Renaissance Charter School Chess Tournament.
“Finally” she declared at the end of the fierce competition. “I was looking for this trophy for long time. I was very close in May but can’t mak it. Now I did it, and makes me feel so happy”, she said.
Her mother, who helps her to carry on the cup, was visible happy as well. “Just hope that we are not going to need an extra room” she jokes.
Alexandra, who convert herself in one of the best chess students of the Renaissance Chess Club, defeated Marco Saca, Julian Goldenberg, Dylan Maida and Jovan Mirkovic to achieve her victory.
Jovan, her last opponent, got a plaque as winner of the Open section.
Other winners are: Cassius Brown-Wells, Madison Zic and Nikola Mirkovic.
